VA Loan limits: What does this mean for me

VA loan caps are the maximum loan amounts that the Department of Veterans Affairs can guarantee without requiring you to make a down payment.

The limits are the same as the conforming loan limits set by the Federal Housing Finance Agency. They don't set a limit on how much you can borrow; instead, they set a limit on how much you can finance with no money down, so VA is very lenient when it comes to helping out veterans and their families.

If you have full entitlement, you don’t have a home loan limit! Loans above $144,000 are no longer limited for qualified Veterans, military members, and survivors with complete entitlement.
